I am a personal trainer and wellness coach based out of Boston, and am currently working virtually with all of my clients! I also teach some group fitness classes (mostly running-related) in real life.
I am in grad school at Boston University in the Master's of Social Work program and am interning at a local elementary school for the 2023/24 school year as a part of their social work team.
One day, I hope to be a part of a holistic practice that focuses on the integration of mental and physical health for all people, taking into account our various backgrounds, needs, and abilities. I am actively against diet-culture, and hope to help permanently shift the toxicity that can surround fitness and body image.
In my spare time, I enjoy running, biking, skiing, doing yoga, traveling, drinking Americanos, and spending time with my cat, Scout. My life does not revolve around my personal fitness, but rather I choose to integrate healthy habits into my lifestyle wherever I can, and I guide my clients to do the same.
I think that my clients would say that I am compassionate, attentive, and enthusiastic, giving them a safe space to be vulnerable and to push themselves just a little bit outside of their comfort zones, because that is where real change can happen.
In 2016, I graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor's in Psychology and minors in Nutrition and Communicative Sciences and Disorders. I ran Track and Field during my time there, and while that experience was amazing in many ways, I did struggle with the pressures of being a Division 1 athlete. I know how hard it is to fumble along in fitness, even at a high level.
I started my personal training career in 2016 at Equinox Sports Club Boston, where I had the opportunity to work with hundreds of clients. In July of 2019 I was a launching coach for the Tier X program at the club and began to combine the movement training I was already doing with habit-change, nutrition, and regeneration coaching.
I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, with certifications in Prenatal and Postpartum, Precision Nutrition L2, Kettlebell L1, and ViPR.
I have trained clients ranging in age from 16 to 86, and encompassing a wide scope of goals and training experience. I have worked with seasoned runners, skiers, prenatal and postpartum clients, squash players, and many individuals who were simply seeking to enhance their current lifestyle. I believe in guiding my clients to create healthy habits, a little bit at a time.
